Legacy Cineflex Service Policy

For legacy Cineflex systems built before Cineflex was owned by GSS, we will give repairs our “best effort”. 

Please remember that depending on the make, model and issue of the system, we may or may not be able to obtain parts or repair the system. See below for more details.

Repairs will be treated as ‘Best Effort’ due to the following issues:

V14 Serial Numbers: 1 to 50 

GEN I and GEN II systems

  • Many parts are obsolete and no longer available.

  • The Sony 930/950 Camera is obsolete and not serviceable by Sony.

  • No Software changes are possible.

  • No longer manufactured/End of life cycle product.


V14 Serial Numbers:
50 to 350

GEN III systems including the Cineflex Rugged, Elite and Ultra

  • Sony has discontinued support for the HDC1500L camera, and has set end dates for support of the HDC2400L (3/31/2026), and HDC2500L (3/31/2027), These make up the majority of payloads for the Cineflex Gen III.

  • Some parts are obsolete and no longer available.

  • No Software changes are possible.

  • No longer manufactured/End of life cycle product.


V14 MSII Serial Numbers: All

including Troll systems

  • Many parts are obsolete and no longer available.

  • Payload Cameras are obsolete and unsupported.

  • No Software changes are possible.

  • No longer manufactured/End of life cycle product.


V9 Serial Numbers: All

  • Many parts are obsolete and no longer available

  • Payload Cameras are obsolete and unsupported.

  • No Software changes are possible.

  • No longer manufactured/End of life cycle product.

Please contact the GSS service department to discuss the serviceability of any Cineflex gimbal. Each case is unique and will be evaluated case-by-case. If the gimbal is deemed serviceable an RMA # will be issued. Returned gimbals will be evaluated for a fee of $825.00. Any additional work will be charged for time and materials.
